Chilean actors and filmmakers enter the Hollywood Academy as new members

More than 900 new members to the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences were confirmed this week.

The organization in charge of carrying out each delivery of the Oscars released on Monday its list of new members, a total of 928 new members, among which several figures of the Chilean show were included.

Among them, the actresses Paulina García (Gloria) and Daniela Vega (A Fantastic Woman) stand out, along with the actor Pedro Pascal (Narcos).

But this list is not only about actors. Editors, scriptwriters and filmmakers also appear in it. That is why this year the incorporation of Maite Alberdi (La Once, Los Niños), the editor Soledad Salfate (A Fantastic Woman, Gloria), the screenwriter Guillermo Calderón (El Club, Neruda), and Gonzalo Maza, who, together with Sebastián Lelio, co-directed and wrote the script for Una Mujer Fantástica.

Emilia Clarke, Rossy de Palma, Blake Lively and Diane Kruger also entered the list this year.
